Elsie Croswhite


Elsie Lorraine Lucas Croswhite, 91, of Sacramento, died Sept. 22 in Sacramento. 
She was born May 17, 1913, in Buena Vista.

Mrs. Croswhite was raised in Ione. She was employed as an optician in Lodi, 
Sacramento, and Grass Valley until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Ann Layton, of Sacramento; son, John 
Croswhite, of San Francisco; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Croswhite, in 1955.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cherokee Memorial Park, 
Highway 99 and Harney Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Soroptimist 
International.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
