Anna Berkebile
Anna Marie Noemi Berkebile, 60, of Lodi, died Oct. 6 at a local hospital 
following a sudden illness. She was born Jan. 15, 1944, in Mexico.

Mrs. Berkebile moved to Lodi with her family in 1961. She attended the 
California School for the Deaf in Berkeley, and graduated from high school 
there. She married Dwight Melvin Berkebile in 1968 at St. Anne's Catholic 
Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting in water colors, cats and taking 
pictures. She also enjoyed collecting angels, doing needlepoint and shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Dwight Melvin Berkebile, of Lodi; sons, Frank 
William Berkebile and Andrew Justin Berkebile, both of Lodi; brother, Luis 
Olivares, of Lodi; sister, Alicia Parker, of Lodi; and mother, Isabel Simonds.

She was preceded in death by her father, Luis Olivares; and brother, Francisco 
Olivares.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Lodi Funeral Home. Entombment 
will follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 
p.m. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from 8 a.m. to 10 
a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at 
the funeral home.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
