Dorothy Lund
Dorothy J. Lund, 81, of Lodi, died Oct. 7 in a local convalescent hospital. She 
was born March 10, 1923, in Iowa.

Mrs. Lund resided in Lodi for 19 years. She was employed by the State of 
California until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, 
and the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society. She was also a former member of 
the Christian Women's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Lodi Memorial 
Hospital Volunteers, and Toastmasters. She enjoyed playing bingo, golf, bridge 
and pinochle.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Lund, of Fair Oaks, Terry Lund, of Valley 
Springs, and David Lund, of Missouri; brother, Jerry Gray, of Arkansas; six 
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lund, in 1984.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran 
Church with Pastor Paul Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be private at the 
East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral 
Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Aid Society of Northern 
California, 105 S. Washington St., Lodi, CA 95240.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
