Dela Simpson
Dela Rae Jardine-Simpson, 83, of Galt, died Oct. 7 in a local convalescent 
hospital. She was born April 24, 1921, in Cholo, Mont.

Mrs. Simpson was a resident of Thornton for 70 years, until relocating to Galt 
two years ago. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and playing cards. She 
was a member of Mater Ecclesiae in Thornton.

She is survived by her sons, Tom Gardine and Jerry Gardine; daughter, Sandy 
Luiz; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mater Ecclesiae, 26500 Sacramento 
Blvd., Thornton, with Father Ramirez and Deacon Don Bo officiating. Committal 
will follow at Galt Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
Tuesday at Ben Salas Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
