Mr. Keener was a native of Arkansas and lived in Lodi for the past 59 years. He worked at Dougherty Farms in Acampo before working for Supermold as a machinist for many years. He later retired from the company as well. He served in the U.S. Army as a segeant in the engineers during World War II. He is a past member of the Machinist Union; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1968 and the Lodi Gem and Mineral Societ. He enjoyed lapidary, gardening, fishing and camping. He is survived by his daughter, Jane Torlucci, of Concord; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alie Gates Keener, in 1997; and nine brothers and sisters. funerals will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home. Committal will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayettville, Ark. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2277 Watt Ave., Ste. 300, Sacramento CA 95825.
