She was born Feb. 7, 1914, in Oroville. Mrs. Scott was raised on the family farm in Washington and Santa Cruz. She moved to Lodi in 1952, and was employed as an elementary school teacher at George Washington School and the former Garfield School in Lodi. She was also employed by the California Conservation Corps until her retirement in 1975. She enjoyed volunteering with the Friends of the Library, American Association of University Women, Genealogy Society, and as a lay-scripture reader in her church. She also enjoyed square dancing, needlework and traveling. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Hoff, of Lodi, Karen Lord Atkinson, of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Geoff Sterling, of Linden; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Franklin Sterling in 1985; second husband, Lyle "Scotty" Scott in 1990; brother, Jay Moe; granddaughter, Heather Lord Sterling; and grandson, Kevin Mettler. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Congregational Church, 825 S. Central Ave., Lodi, with Pastor Greg Myers officiating. Committal will follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Aid Society of Northern California, 105 S.
