Evelyn Thomas
Evelyn R. Thomas, 91, of Orange, formerly of Lodi, died Oct. 7 of natural 
causes.

She was born Evelyn Lindgren on June 23, 1913, in Holdredge, Neb. She lived in 
Arnold for 11 years before moving to Lodi; she lived in the area from 1980 to 
2001.

Mrs. Thomas was a secretary and bookkeeper. She was involved with Eastern Star, 
Hanoit House, Delta Humane Society, Friends of the Library, and was a Lodi 
Police Department volunteer. She was a small aircraft and seaplane pilot and 
enjoyed jazz and telling jokes.

She is survived by her sister, Paula Lawrence; step-daughter, Cheryl Hanley; 
and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Services will be private.
