Wheeler, 56, of Tracy, and formerly of Lodi, died on Sept. 24 at Stanford University Medical Center. He was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Hemet. Mr. Wheeler lived in Lodi for 20 years and in Spokane, Wash., for seven years. He was employed as a warehouse worker for Safeway distribution in Tracy. He attended Sequoia Heights Baptist Church. He was on active duty reserves for the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the San Joaquin River Club and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Tracy. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Wheeler, of Tracy; brother, Ronald Wheeler, of Tracy; daughter, Michele Johnson, of Post Falls, Idaho; son, Brian Wheeler, of Tracy; and two grandchildren. An interment will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nalla. Parkview Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
