Yoshio "Yo" Moriwaki 

July 27, 1917 - October 6, 2004 

Yoshio "Yo" Moriwaki, 87, born Julyl 27, 1917 passed away of a heart attack on 
Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in Rancho Palos Verdes. He is survived by his 
loving wife, Bettie; daughter, Sharon Dolera (Richard); granddaughters, Alison, 
Andrea and Aubrey of Cupertino, CA, and daughter, Elaine Fuller (David); 
grandson, Robert of Torrance, CA. He was a dear brother to Chieko Takahashi and 
Mieko Shimakawa of Stockton and uncle to John Takahashi, Joan, Ellen and Karen 
Shimakawa and Ann Nishimura. He was the father of the late Linda Moriwaki. He 
was a member of the Stockton Buddhist Church and Hiroshima Doshikai. He served 
in the Armed Forces and in his youth, he was active in various sports, 
especially basketball, in the Japanese community. He retired from the San 
Joaquin County Motor Pool Dept. At the request of his daughters, a private 
graveside service will be held at the Park View Cemetery with Rev. Hasegawa 
officiating.
