"Jack" Butler August 26, 1922 - October 11, 2004 John E. "Jack" Butler, age 82 of Stockton, passed away on October 11, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born on August 26, 1922, in Northwood, Iowa but was raised in Minnesota. Mr. Butler was a resident of this county for 56 years and worked as a Postal Carrier for 10 years. He was in the US Navy and Merchant Marines during WWII. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, wood working and to wrap fishing poles. Mr. Butler is survived by his wife Loretta VanOrder Butler; children Patricia Butler, David Mahan, Denise Dyer, Debbie Dipuccio, Rodney Avilla, Jack Gollihar, Tonya Mich, RoseMarie Kaufman, Fred Pattingale and he touched the lives of many foster children; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., First Baptist Church, 3535 N. El Dorado St. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the charity of your choice.
