Lee October 10, 1911 - October 14, 2004 Louie S. Lee, 93 of Oakton, VA, and formerly of Stockton, passed away there on Thursday, October 14, 2004. He was born on October 10, 1911, in Portland, OR, where he graduated from Public Schools. During the World War II years, he became Chief Photographer for Kaiser Shipyard in Vancouver, WA. He came to Stockton in 1946 to start the first CentrOMart, "One Stop Shopping" Center in Stockton, CA. The business grew to nine stores in the Stockton and outlying areas. Louie became a Job Buyer and Division Manager for CentrOMart Stores. He was past president of Diamond Properties, Inc., past president of Central Investment Co., served on the Executive Board of Bank of Trade in San Francisco, on the advisory board of United Bank in Stockton, past president of the Lee On-Dong Association of Stockton, past president of the Cathay Club in Stockton, past president of the San Joaquin Orchid Society, past treasurer of Stockton High 12 Club, an Elder for 25 years at the First Presbyterian Church, member of San Joaquin Lodge #19 F & AM, Stockton Scottish Rite Bodies, Ben Ali Shrine Temple, San Joaquin Shrine Club, Chinese Acacia Club and SIRS #46, all in Stockton. Louie is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy P. Lee in 1997. He is survived by his two daughters, Gail Lee of Oakton, VA, and Sue (Henry) Leung of Stockton; grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 3; brother of Junna (Harry) Elliott of Portland, OR. Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi. Visitation at Service time only. San Joaquin Lodge officiating. Entombment on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum, Oakland, CA. Max Carroll in charge of arrangements.
