She was born on April 6, 1905 in Silver Lake, Kansas and has lived in Stockton for 61 years. Mrs. Dronberger retired on March 31, 1971, as secretary in the Social Service Department at San Joaquin General Hospital. In her years at the hospital, she had the unofficial duty as Information Specialist. She began obtaining answers for the press about 1956 when The Record and other news media "had a few problems" getting information needed for news stories. To correct these problems, Mrs. Dronberger inherited the job of "getting the answers." Mrs. Dronberger was a long time member of Morning Star Lodge No. 68 F.& A.M. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lloyd Victor Dronberger in 1998. He was a retired employee of the Santa Fe Railroad. Mrs. Dronberger is survived by her daughter Evelyn Wilder of Stockton; grandson, Jack Nayer of Stockton; great granddaughter, Kimm Berry of Escalon; great- grandson, Jeff Nayer of Escalon; great great grandsons, Blake Nayer of Riverbank and Jack Berry of Escalon; great great granddaughter, Brooklyn Berry of Escalon. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary. Visitation will be on Monday, October 25, 2 - 5 p.m. at the Mortuary.
