He was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Butte, N.D. Mr. Schmollinger served in the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier, Hornet, during the Vietnam War, and continued his service for 20 years until his retirement. He was also employed by Holtz Rubber for three years. He enjoyed fish, playing cards and collecting Snoopy items. Alvin Schmollinger He is survived by his companion, Linda Milhausen; sons, Bobbie Schmollinger, of Lodi, and David Schmollinger, of Gresham, Ore.; sisters, Lydia Miller, of Harvey, N.D., Violet Turner and Darlene Maxey, both of Lodi; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death two sisters, and seven brothers. There will be no services. A gathering will be held at 7 p.m. today at the club house at Almond Drive Mobile Estates.
