Merlie Stanford
Merlie B. Stanford, 83, of Lodi, died Oct. 25 in her home after a brief 
illness. She was born April 19, 1921, in Boise, Idaho, where she was raised.

Mrs. Stanford lived in Oakland, Lafeyette and Burson before moving to Lodi in 
1988. She was employed as a substitute teacher, and enjoyed crocheting 
decorations and gifts, and playing bridge.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Stanford, of Lodi; daughter, Marjorie 
Stanford Wray, of Fountain Valley; son, Donald R. Stanford, of Martinez; and 
one granddaughter.

There will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of San 
Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.

Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.
