At the time of her death, Laura was at home with her husband and family at her side. Her courage, compassion, generosity, dignity, and sense of humor were an inspiration to all who knew her, including her students and fellow faculty at Galt High School, hundreds of on-line prayer partners, Harvest Church of Elk Grove, her loving family and her many friends. Laura's passions were her family, teaching, writing and her Christian faith. After receiving her diagnosis of cancer, she kept family and friends informed of her condition and faith in God by sending them regular email updates. In turn, she received hundreds of supportive and inspirational responses which she compiled in a self published book, "He Listens". She appreciated so much all the prayers and good wishes sent her way. Her family would like to thank everyone, including the staff at Stanford Medical Center and the UC Davis Medical Center Hospice Program.
