Mr. Williams was a teacher for 29 years and was teaching at Marshall Middle School in Stockton before his death. Over the years, he was a football coach at Edison High School; a Commissioner of Mokelumne Babe Ruth League and coached Pop Warner South Side Vikings and was a Director of the Chess Club at Marshall Middle School. Mr Williams was a member of Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church of Stockton; Black Employees Assoc. and N.A.A.C.P. He is survived by his wife, Anita Williams of Stockton; three children, Kevin D. Williams, Timothy Williams, and Erika M. Williams, all of Stockton; his mother, Mary Shelton of Stockton; brothers, Raymond Williams of Beaumont, TX, Larry Williams and Perry Shelton both of Stockton; his sister, Fayetta James of Stockton; and his 5 grandchildren. Church Service at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 209 S. "C" St., Stockton, on Friday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home on Thursday, October 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal with Military Honors at Park View Cemetery, Manteca.
