She was born June 8, 1919, in Lodi. Mrs. Hintz attended the Lutheran school and then graduated from Lodi High School. She was employed as a teller at Farmers & Merchants Bank. She married Otto Hintz in 1946. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and the Lutheran Missionary Auxiliary. She worked on the Alter Guild for 40 years, and was a member of the 39 Forever Club. Mildred Hintz She is survived by her sons, Jerry Hintz, of Visalia, and Jim Hintz, of Gresham, Ore.; daughter, Pat Avery, of Woodbridge; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Hintz, in 1979; and brother Ewald Menzel. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. There will be no visitation, and committal will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Window Fund.
