Ricky A. Rice Nov. 3, 1957 — April 25, 2004 Services will be Friday in Manteca for longtime Leprino Foods employee Ricky A. Rice, 46, who died Sunday at his home in Manteca. Born in Lapunte, Mr. Rice lived in Manteca 39 years. He worked as a machine operator at Leprino Foods Co. in Tracy for 24 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and going to the beach. Mr. Rice will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife of eight years, Valerie Rice of Manteca; a daughter, Mandy J. Rice of Manteca; and two brothers, Horst E. Rice, and his wife, Eileen, of Modesto, and Ronald A. Rice, and his wife, Pac, of Manteca. Friday’s services will be at 4 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, in Manteca, where visitation will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Mr. Rice’s name may be made to the National Wildlife Refuge Association, 1010 Wisconsin Ave. N.W., Ste. 200, Washington, D.C. 20007.
