David was the owner of David K. Vance Campaign Services in Stockton. He was a member of the National Republican Congressional Committee and was twice the recipient of the Ronald Reagan Gold Medal for work with the Republican party of San Joaquin County. He loved all sports, but especially baseball and the San Francisco Giants. He shared a close bond with his grandson, Matthew Campodonico with whom he shared his love of baseball and enjoyed watching him play. David was the husband of the late Marilyn Vance; son of the late Bernard E. and Dorothy Vance. He was the loving father of Christine Campodonico and husband Dan of Stockton and the late David Vance. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Campodonico; dear brother of Leonard and Dolores Vance of Clovis, CA, Colleen Vance-Jimenez and husband Emilio and Kathleen Vance of Stockton. Numerous nieces and nephews survive him. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton on Monday, November 8, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 7, 2004, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Committal: Cherokee Memorial Park.
