A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday for West High School senior Ashley 
Nicole Lance, 17, who died Saturday morning in a vehicle accident.
Born in Los Gatos, Miss Lance lived in San Jose before moving to Tracy two 
years ago. She attended West High School and previously attended grammar, 
middle and high schools in San Jose.
Miss Lance enjoyed dancing, wakeboarding and watching movies. She also enjoyed 
movie trivia and was active in the drama program at West High. Miss Lance liked 
to go to NASCAR and sprint car races and to watch and participate in Civil War 
reenactments with her father. 
She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister and friend to many. 
Miss Lance is survived by her parents, Stacey and Scott Taylor of Tracy and Jay 
Lance of Beaverton, Ore.; a sister, Brianna Taylor of Tracy; grandparents 
Ronald Dean and Rosalie Montes of Morgan Hill, Cleo and Jim Lance of San Diego, 
and Doug and Beverly Taylor of Las Vegas; four aunts; six uncles; and her best 
friends, Mary Sciarrillo and Yareny Alsaro, both of San Jose.
Thursday’s Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. 
Eaton Ave. 
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central 
Ave. Visitation is private. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery. 
Contributions may be made to a memorial fund for Ashley Lance to either 
Washington Mutual, Account No. 0944060392, 691 W. 11th St., Tracy 95376; or to 
Union Bank of California, Account No. 7471014832, 2005 N. Tracy Blvd., Tracy
