Charles E. Mastel, Sr. 
July 3, 1933 - November 9, 2004



Charles Elmer Mastel Sr., 71, of Stockton, CA, was entered into rest of 
Tuesday, November 9, 2004. He was born on July 3, 1933. In 1957, he married 
Isabel Contreras on July 28. He was employed with Del Monte for 43 years. He 
was a member of Teamsters Local 601 and also served in the United States Army. 
He is survived by his loving wife, Isabel Mastel; sons, Charles Mastel Jr. of 
Stockton, Ernest Mastel and wife Tammy of Lathrop, Anthony Mastel and wife 
Virginia of Acampo; daughter, Kristina Flores and husband Rick of Stockton. 
Preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Mastel. Also survived by 17 
grandchildren, Kristina, Robert, Charles III, Nena, Ernest Jr., Desiree, David, 
Zavanah, Mark, Anthony Jr., Alyssa, Mario, Bianca, Jeremy, Rick, Micheal, Joe; 
2 great grandchildren, Alexis, Gilbert. Also survived by his loving sisters, 
Janice Mastel and Betty Ann Mastel both of Stockton. He is also survived by 
many nieces and nephews. 
A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at 
DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA. Committal: San 
Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation: Saturday, Noon to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, 
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Mortuary. 
Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Western 
Region, 2720 Gateway Oaks Dr., #110, Sacramento, CA 95833-4304 or American 
Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
