Born on January 25, 1920, in Hood, California, he was owner of the Garden Center in Stockton for 35 years. He was a member of the Stockton Buddhist Temple, J A C L, Tomono Kai, Hisei Major Bowling League and Nikkei Golf Club. He was preceded in death by his two wives, Chiyoko Doris Yamada and Midori Hagio Yamada. He is survived by his children, Ren Yamada, Jr. of Stockton, Reiko Sasayama of Japan and Ranko Yamada Matsueda of Berkeley; grandfather of 5; brother of Kiyoko Sugimoto of Stockton. Friends are invited to attend Services on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. in the Stockton Buddhist Temple, 2820 Shimizu Dr., Stockton. Committal at Stockton Rural Cemetery.
