James E. Rice 
June 6, 1931 - November 12, 2004 



James E. Rice passed away on November 12, 2004. He was born June 6, 1931, in 
Pana, IL. Jim, as he was known to his friends, came to Stockton in 1977 as 
owner of the local Wienerschnitzel restaurants. Known for his wonderful sense 
of humor and easy smile, Jim was a longtime member of St. Andrew's Lutheran 
Church in Stockton. He enjoyed tennis, going to the horse races, watching his 
children's sporting events and then later on life, spending time with his 
grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Valerie Rice of Roseville; daughter 
Monet Allen, son-in-law Tristan Allen, grandchildren Marissa, Mackenzie and 
Zane Allen all of Montague, CA; son Todd Rice, daughter-in-law Kristin Rice, 
grandchildren J.T. and Molly RIce all of Stockton; daughter Tamara Rice of 
Bowling Green, OH. He will be dearly missed by his family.
A Private Memorial Ceremony will be held in Roseville.
