Lela Elizabeth Patty Salini 
Aug. 30, 1905 - November 19, 2004



Lela Elizabeth Petty Salini, 99, of Redding, died Friday, November 19, 2004, at 
Shasta Healthcare in Redding. She was born August 30, 1905, in Verdon, Nebraska 
and was a long-time resident of Stockton where she was a local championship 
tennis player. During World War II she was an office supervisor at the Stockton 
Naval Annex. She and her late husband, Al, a retired Stockton Fire Department 
Captain, moved to Nevada City in 1958, where she was an avid gardener and 
fisherwoman, residing there until moving to Redding in 2002.
Survivors include son, Jim Salini and wife, Carol of Redding; daughter; Shirley 
Jacobs of San Francisco; granddaughters, Lee Shea of Stockton and Debbie 
Carlyle of Aptos and grandson, Bruce Baxter of Palo Alto.
Private family services will be held.
