Gaetano "Nonno" D'Albora 
Oct. 8, 1914 - Nov. 24, 2004



  Gaetano "Nonno" D'Albora, 90, of Stockton, passed away surrounded by his 
family on November 24, 2004. Born in Salina, Italy on October 8, 1914, he 
immigrated to the United States with his wife and two young children in 1950 
and made their home in Stockton. He retired in 1979 from the American Forest 
Products in Stockton. Gaetano was well known for his beautiful garden and 
abundant vegetables which he generously shared with family and friends. He 
loved family gatherings and was an avid baseball fan, particularly the San 
Francisco Giants.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Carolina; his 
parents; and 7 sisters and 1 brother of Italy; his son-in-law, Chester Turney; 
and his beloved dog, Valentine. He is survived by his children, Vito (Carol) 
D'Albora of Carmichael, Emanuel (Lori) D'Albora and Tamara and Michael Weber. 
He is also survived by one sister, Petrina Cataffo of Italy, his brother-in-
law, Carlo Giuffre and many cousins, nieces and nephews in both the U.S. and 
Italy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, November 
30, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., 
Stockton. Father Lawrence McGovern officiating. Visitation: November 29, 2004, 
from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and November 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 
Committal: San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery Garden Crypt.
Memorials in Gaetano's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research 
Hospital, PO Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101 or to an animal rescue group of choice.
