Virginia Lee Van Buskirk 

March 1, 1922 - November 15, 2004



Virginia Lee Van Buskirk, 82, longtime Stockton resident, went to be with the 
Lord, November 15, 2004, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers'. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Erle Van Buskirk; parents, 
Clarence Lee Doane and Aida Palmer Doane and brother, Richard Palmer Doane. She 
is survived by three children: Carol Lee Kromer and husband, John, Rodger Dean 
Van Buskirk and wife, Olga and Raymond J Van Buskirk and wife, Martha and Van 
Buskirk grandchildren: Curtis, Neil, Palmer, Anna and Marie.
Virginia Van Buskirk was born in Windsor, Missouri and also lived in Nevada, 
California, South Carolina, and Florida. She graduated from UOP. She served as 
a home economics teacher and judge of desserts at county fairs. Virginia loved 
to cook for church events and was devoted to her family and Christian friends. 
She will be remembered as a warm, self-sacrificing wife and mother who loved 
the Lord and people and could laugh or cry at a second's notice. 
Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, First Presbyterian Church, 
31 E. Vine, Stockton, CA 95203.
