He had battled cancer for just over a year. He was born December 12, 1942, and raised in the Ripon Area. He moved to Stockton after marrying his high school sweetheart, Donna Douma. He graduated from Ripon High School where he was active in FFA, band, and played football. He then joined the Plumbing Apprenticeship program at Delta College. He has been a member in good-standing of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 442 for 42 years. He started with W.T. Gibsons Plumbing in Stockton, worked for Center Plumbing for over 20 years and retired from Sahargun Plumbing after 10 years of service in 1999. He was a member of American Bowling Assoc. until the 1990's. He was a member of Woodbridge Golf and Country Club, Woodbridge Senior Men's Club, and the P.S.G.A. He traveled the U.S. including Hawaii with his wife and enjoyed playing the various golf courses. His travels included an Alaskan cruise in July for their 42nd wedding anniversary. Survived by beloved wife, Donna; daughter, Diane Wong (Gordon) of Glendora, CA; sons: Greg Vincelet (Tina) and Roger Vincelet (Robin), both of Stockton; grandchildren Megan and Cody Vincelet, Jordyn and Jayse Vincelet, Lyndsey and Kyle Wong; siblings, Carol Carey, Jewel Wait, Zinnia Infelise, Dolores Fritts, Edna Cugini, Cherie Solari, Glenn Vincelet and Edmund Vincelet, all of Stockton and twins, Frances Boone of San Carlos, CA and the late Freddie Vincelet of Hemet, CA. Also preceded in death by siblings, Iona Parks and Vernon Vincelet and half brothers, Joseph, Eddie and Emil Vincelet. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2nd, between 1 & 8 p.m. at Cherokee Funeral Home, 831 E. Indstrial Way, Lodi, CA. A celebration of Darryl's life will be held on Friday, December 3rd, at 1 p.m. at Quail Lakes Baptist Church, 1904 Quail Lakes Drive, Stockton, CA with a reception to follow.
