Virginia E. Doughty 
Sept. 28, 1918 - Nov. 28, 2004



Virginia E. Doughty passed away in Stockton on Sunday, November 28, 2004. She 
was 86 years old. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 28, 1918, 
and lived in Stockton for 55 years. She was a checker in retail for 35 years. 
She was a member of the American Kennel Club for several years because she 
adored animals. She loved and was very active in square dancing. Virginia was 
preceded in death by her beloved husband Edgar C. Doughty. She is survived by 
her loving children, Jack Gilliand of Blue Springs, Missouri, Charles A. (Skip) 
Doughty of Southern California, Julie Mapes and Sharon Delgado both of Linden 
and 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 
There will be a placement inurnment at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and E. 
Harney Lane, Lodi, CA on Friday, December 3, 2004, at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations can be made in loving memory of Virginia to the Pets and 
Pals Animal Shelter, 12488 S. Harlan Road, Lathrop, CA 95330. Cherokee Memorial 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
