Maria Fontanilla 
Mar. 20, 1919 - Nov. 27, 2004



Maria Emperador Fontanilla, 85, a resident of Manteca for 30 years, passed away 
on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Doctors Hospital in Manteca. She was born 
March 20, 1919 in the Philippines. Preceded in death by her late husband 
Basilio Fontanilla Sr. on July 8, 1989. Maria was the best at taking care of 
her kids. She was a wonderful cook and mom. She loved to shop and attended St. 
Anthony's Catholic Church. She especially loved her grandchildren. She will be 
remembered as a loving mother, special grandmother and friend to many who is 
gone but not forgotten.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Abraham and Dr. Angelita Fontanilla of 
Indiana, Betty Fontanilla of Manteca, Basilio Fontanilla Jr. of Manteca, Raul 
Fontanilla of Manteca, Mae and Robert Martin of OH; siblings, Marcos Emperador 
of San Jose; grandchildren, Christine Fontanilla of Indiana, Anthony Fontanilla 
of S.F., GianCarlo Fontanilla of Iraq, Kirsten Martin of Ohio, Kathleen 
Fontanilla of Manteca, Racquel Fontanilla of Manteca, Melody Martin of OH.
Visitation: Thursday, December 2, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry 
& Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA. Rosary: Will be recited 
on Thursday, December 2, at 6:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. Services: 
Friday, December 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 505 E. 
North St., Manteca. Burial: San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Stockton, CA.
