Thomas John Joyce III 
Feb. 14, 1938 - Nov. 27, 2004



Thomas John Joyce III entered into rest November 27, 2004, at Kaiser Hospital 
in Fremont, CA. Born February 14, 1938 in San Francisco, CA to Thomas and 
Eileen Joyce, he was 66 years old. A Fremont resident for 35 years and 
previously of San Mateo and Stockton. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed 
golfing, reading, and bowling at Cloverleaf Bowl. He was proud of his Irish and 
Norwegian heritage. He retired from Safeway in 1992 after 35 years of service, 
and was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Warm Springs Golf Club and the 
Teamsters Union Local 853.
Beloved father of Thomas and Julie Joyce of Fremont, CA; and Laura Joyce of 
Tracy, CA; dearest brother of Shirley Thompson and husband Jack of Polluch 
Pines, CA; Linda Wilson of Auburn, CA; Diane Madden and husband Brad of 
Truckee, CA and Michael Joyce and wife Diane of San Mateo, CA; loving 
grandfather of Tommy, Michelle, Brianna and Bronte Joyce and John Guzman Jr; 
and great grandfather of one grandson. Friends and family are invited to attend 
a Vigil Service Thursday, December 2, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. with visitation from 
2:00-8:00 p.m. held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont 
Blvd., Fremont. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 3rd at 9:00 a.m. 
at Holy Spirit Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA. Thomas will be laid to 
rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Donations may be made to the American 
Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
