He was born on New Year's Day of 1926 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of George and Martha Peck. He was a resident of Stockton for 68 years and worked as a plumber for almost four decades, working last for Vetter Plumbing Company until his retirement in 1981. He was a role model and a rock for so many people, truly loved by all and will be greatly missed. His memories will live on to all who knew him. He was an avid sportsman and skilled hunter and enjoyed hunting large game with hounds and horseback riding. He was member of Plumber's Local Union 442, the Stockton Houndsmen Association and the California Houndsmen for Conservation. In 1970, he married Kathleen Sheridan in Stockton, and the two enjoyed some of the happiest years of their lives. Their union resulted in the amalgamation of their two families into an inseparable one. Mr. Peck is the loving father of three sons, David Peck and his wife Becky; Dean Peck and his wife Elsie; Scott Sheridan and his wife Kathy; and three daughters, Kathy Cavanaugh and her husband Bill; Sandy Celle and her husband Virgil; and Diane Mead. Beloved grandfather of eight: Gina Cox; Steven and Lisa Deane; Jake Celle; Shane and Jeremy Peck; Doug, Daniel and Dustin Mead; and Kayla Sheridan. Dear bother of Juanita Head; Leland, Jack, L.E. and Laura Bernard. Dearest uncle to Gordon Locke. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 22 years, Kathleen; his sister Eutiva Fry, and brother Harvey Bernard. Friends are invited to attend visitations on Sunday, December 5, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Monday, December 6, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. at Frisbie-Warren Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in Stockton. All are cordially invited to a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, at the Mortuary, followed by a committal service and interment at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in Stockton.
