Born to the Wilkes family in Berkeley on March 29, 1918, Lillian was known for her loving kindness and zest for life. She attended U.C. Davis as a Home Economics student. In March, 1940, she married Gerald Smith and soon after became a mother. A wonderful cook and hostess, she enjoyed entertaining and was especially fond of Thanksgiving. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Lillian is survived by her brother, David Wilkes of Alamo; by her two sons, Chuck of Stockton and Clifford of Windsor; grandchildren, Lisa, Kevin, Nikki, Katie, Allison, Jana and Jordan, and by great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Isabella and Alexis. She will always be remembered for her lighthearted, whimsical outlook on life. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
