Nicky Gillespie
Clyde Ellis Nicky Gillespie, 69, formerly of Lodi, died Dec. 3. He was born 
Feb. 5, 1935, in Fort Bragg, where he was raised on the family dairy.

Mr. Gillespie attended Orland High School and then served in the Naval 
Submarine Service, the Air Force, and is a Korean War Veteran. He married Mary 
Ann Hollingsworth in 1956, and moved with his family to Paradise in 1969. He 
was employed by AT&T for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed RVing full 
time throughout the United States, and visited all 50 of them, Canada and three 
continents. He also enjoyed reading, planning his next trip, history, the 
ocean, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; sons, C.J., Brett, Brian, and Blane; two 
brothers, one sister and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Galt Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rose Chapel in Paradise.

The Rose Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
