Reynosa Nov. 27, 1916 - Dec. 6, 2004 Jean Eguinoa Reynosa was born in Williams, Arizona. In 1934, she married James Reynosa and together they had two children, James Reynosa, Jr. and Maria L.R. Loduca. Soon after World War II, the couple founded their business, Reynosa's Auto Body Works. From its inception, Reynosa's Auto Body was a successful business with a reputation of excellence and professionalism. Both Jean and James were proud that many auto body shop owners throughout Stockton began their careers at Reynosa's Auto Body Works. After the passing of her husband in 1968, she continued to successfully operate the business for over thirty years. Jean was a generous woman and active community leader and philanthropist, respected in the Hispanic and Stockton community. She is the founder of the Stockton Mexican American Chamber of Commerce where she was inducted into the Mexican American Hall of Fame. Jean was an appointee of Governor Jerry Brown to the San Joaquin County Fair Board. She was reappointed in 1981 for a second term and named president of the board that same year, the first woman to ever hold the position. She served with great distinction as president of the fair board, giving impetus to many programs benefiting the Hispanic community and the county at large. Jean loved her family, friends, community and hats. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Reynosa Sr. and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two children, James Reynosa Jr. (Mayda) of Groveland, CA and Maria Loduca (Frank) of Stockton, CA; her grandchildren, Stephanie Renee Pennington, Steven Jeffrey Reynosa, James Nicholas Reynosa, Timothy Edward Reynosa, Frank Paul Loduca, Gina Maria Williams, and James Paul Loduca and her siblings, Kathryn Maestas, Frances Tocco and Matt Equinoa. Jean was also a proud great-grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA, Thursday, December 9, 2004, at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, Ashley Lane, Stockton, CA, on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal: San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
