James Austin Moore 
Feb. 11, 1923 - Nov. 26, 2004



Mr. James Austin Moore of Stockton passed away Friday November 26, 2004, in a 
Lodi hospital at the age of 81. Mr. Moore was born February 11, 1923 in 
Stockton, California to William and Thelma Moore. Mr. Moore worked for the 
Rough & Ready Island Depot as a yard foreman for 45 years. Mr. Moore was a 
United States Marine Corps and WWII veteran. He was a member and past commander 
of the VFW Post #52 of Stockton and the BPOE #218 of Stockton.
He is survived by 3 sons, Alfred P. Moore of Stockton; James A. Moore, Jr. of 
Lodi; Gary A. Hudgeons of Cameron Park; 3 daughters, Phyllis Lidster of Nevada; 
Jeanette Wilson of Brentwood; Kathleen Marie Alviso of Plymouth; 10 
grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st 
wife Mary Moore in 1966 and 2nd wife Joan Moore in 1992.
A private graveside service with military honors was held Friday, December 3, 
2004, at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lodi 
Funeral Home.
