Cordelia ‘Corky’ Hagan July 2, 1923 — March 30, 2004 Services will be Saturday for longtime Tracy resident Cordelia “Corky” Hagan, 80, who died March 30 while visiting her daughter in Grass Valley. Born in Scammon, Kan., Mrs. Hagan lived in Tracy 14 years. She previously lived in San Leandro. Mrs. Hagan worked as a switchboard operator at various hotels and did medical billing at various hospitals in the Bay Area. She retired from San Leandro Doctors Hospital in 1986. Mrs. Hagan enjoyed arts and crafts, garage sales and flea markets, and she liked visiting with her neighbors and friends. She was also featured in the Tracy Press’ “Queen for a Day” supplemental Mothers Day section on May 8, 2002. Mrs. Hagan is survived by three children, Brenda Alves of Tracy, Marsha Tackett of Grass Valley and John T. Hagan of Palestine, Texas; five grandchildren, Terasa Chase of Tracy, Alfred James Alves of Brentwood, Tanya West of Grass Valley, and Jessica and Summer Hagan, both of Palestine, Texas; and one great- grandchild, Mark S. Chase III of Tracy. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Saturday’s services will begin at noon in the chapel of Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Hagan’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton 95204; or to the American Heart Association, 1212 W.
