Dominguez Feb. 6, 1948 - Dec. 7, 2004 Pablo A. Dominguez, 56 of Stockton, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2004, at his Stockton residence in the presence of his loving family. He was born on February 6, 1948, in Torreon, Mexico, the son of Santos Dominguez and Lorenza Sarabia Dominguez. From an early age, he displayed a remarkable talent and ability for sports, making his first big impression as an up and coming great soccer player when he was selected to the "All City Soccer Team" in Juarez, Mexico. When he was a teenager, his family came to Manteca and Pablo finished his studies and graduated from Manteca High School in 1967. That same year he married Rosemary Mascorro, and the couple settled in Stockton, where they lived and raised their family. Pablo played with various clubs in the area: Arroyo's, Xochimilco, Nexaca and other selected teams. In June 1970, he was selected to the All Star "Sacramento Senators" professional team. After his soccer playing days, he worked at Tillie Lewis and helped establish the family business, La Cabana Restaurant. Pablo is survived by five children, Sally Perez of La Grange, Sylvia Michael of Stockton, Pablo A. Dominguez (U.S.M.C.) of Pensacola, Florida, Monica Dominguez of San Diego and Cesar Dominguez of Oregon. Also survived by his beloved mother, Mrs. Lory Dominguez; four brothers, Jose Luis, Roberto, Hector and Oscar Dominguez; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Herman Dominguez; his brother, Nick Dominguez; his sister, Vicky Vargas and his father, Santos Dominguez. Friends are invited to attend visitations on Monday, December 13, 2004, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 14, 2004, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in Stockton. A Rosary and Evening Blessing Service will be offered at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary. Committal will be private; inurnment at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in Stockton.
