Sheila Elaine Valverde 
Aug. 3, 1946 - Dec. 11, 2004



Sheila Elaine Valverde, 58, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2004 in 
Stockton. She was born on August 3, 1946 in Arcadia, Florida. She is survived 
by her beloved husband of 36 years, Louis Valverde of Stockton. Adored daughter 
of the late Henry McCray and Norma McCray. Devoted mother of Lorraine Mendoza 
and Louis G. Valverde, both of Stockton and mother-in-law of Jose Mendoza. 
Cherished grandmother of Alexis, Bianca, Catalina, Denali and Elise Mendoza. 
Mrs. Valverde is also survived by dear siblings, Rodney McCray, Dale McCray, 
and Bernard McCray, all of Florida. She was preceded in death by her loving 
sisters, Norma Jean Sheridan and Carolyn McCray. Sister-in-law to Joe and 
Margaret Valverde, Eleanor Valverde, all of Stockton, Debbie McCray and Shirley 
McCray, both of Florida. She will also be dearly missed by numerous nieces, 
nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. 
A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, at DeYoung 
Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St. Family and friends are invited to attend 
a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, at St. 
George's Church, 120 W. 5th Street, Stockton 95202. Visitation will be held at 
the Chapel on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday, from 8:00 
a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Committal: San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. 
Memorials can be made to St. George's Church Building Fund, 120 W. 5th Street, 
Stockton, CA 95202 or to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, 
CA. 95204
