Ruben Hinojosa Costilla 
Oct. 15, 1948 - December 11, 2004



Ruben Hinojosa Costilla, 56, passed away in Stockton on Saturday, December 11, 
2004. His hobbies included singing and being in the company of his family and 
many friends.
He is survived by his loving parents, Simon H. Costilla of Stockton and Raquel 
Hinojosa of Brawley, CA. Adored father of Rosario (Nicolas) Monarrez, Ruben C. 
(Regina) Hinojosa, Sylvia (Pedro) Barrientos, Veronica (Antonio) Sandoval, 
Samuel (Terren) Hinojosa and Jesus (Sandy) Hinojosa. Dear grandfather of 
Daniel, Monica and Brianna Monarrez, Jesus, Anthony, Veronica, Kendra, Ruben 
III and David Hinojosa, Angelo, Adrian, Pedro, Alejandro and Adam Barrientos, 
Antonio, Vanessa, Julian and Christian Ruben Sandoval. Mr. Costilla is also 
survived by his caring siblings, Marco Nunez, Alma Rosa Hinojosa, Gloria 
Hinojosa, Irma Bugarin, all of Stockton, Rufugia Salmeron of Sacramento, 
Yolanda Salmeron of Stockton, Juana Salmeron of San Jose, Alfredo Salmeron of 
Stockton, Cecilio Costilla, Simon Costilla, Jr., Fred Costilla, Yolanda N. 
Costilla, Rosita "Tracy" Rillon, Connie Costilla and preceded in death by 
sister, Christina Hinojosa.
A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm.. on Thursday, December 16, 2004, at 
St. Edward's Church, 731 S. Cardinal Ave., Stockton. Family and friends are 
invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 
17 at St. George's Church, 120 W. 5th Street, Stockton. Visitation will be held 
at the Chapel on Tuesday from noon-7:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 
a.m.-7:00 pm. and Friday from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Committal at San Joaquin Catholic 
Cemetery.
