He was a retired receiving yard supervisor and lived in Stockton for 55 years. He served in WWII, a U.S. Army Veteran and served honorably with "G" Company, 2nd Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team. He was also a member of Kumamoto Kyoyu Kai, and the Stockton Buddhist Temple. Duke is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sadame Tokunaga; two sons, Daniel H. Tokunaga (Sandra) of Elk Grove and Robert J. Tokunaga (Sandra) of Herald; one brother, George "Yogo" Tokunaga of Stockton; and five grandchildren. He held the high respect of those who knew him well. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2004, at the Stockton Buddhist Temple, 2820 Shimizu Drive in Stockton. Interment will be private.
