Martha Jane Stockton-Clark 
Oct. 26, 1924 - December 10, 2004



Martha Jane Stockton-Clark passed away Friday, December 10, 2004, at the age of 
80. She was the daughter of William H. Erzinger and Martha Caroline Chambers, 
for whom she was named. Martha was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on 
October 26, 1924. She went to Monroe High School and attended Beaver Valley 
General Hospital. Martha was a Cadet Nurse in WWII, after which she completed 
her nursing at Delta College. She graduated from San Joaquin General Hospital 
in 1956. Martha worked as an R.N. in this area for over 35 years. She worked at 
SJGH, St. Joseph's and retired from Dameron Hospital, mainly in the E.R. She 
was well respected by her peers. They would look to her for help and she would 
give it without question. She was a member of San Joaquin Hospital/Delta Alumni 
Assoc., President District 10 CNA-Treasurer and also worked as a volunteer with 
the Assistance League of Stockton. Martha enjoyed all kinds of needlework, 
reading, playing her piano, doing puzzles and traveling throughout the U.S. 
Martha will be missed by her many friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of three years, Robert Clark; children, Russell 
Stockton, John Stockton and Suzanne Beach; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-
grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
There will be no services at her request. Interment will be held December 28, 
2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Lodi Memorial Park.
