He was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Hosmer, S.D. Mr. Sonnenfeld served in the Army Aircorp during World War II, and also attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen, S.D. He married in 1941, and then moved to Southern California after the war, where he worked as a lithographer. He moved to Lodi in 1978, and later worked for Lodi Metal Tech for 10 years. He was baptized in 1964 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Los Angeles, and was a member of the Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lodi. He enjoyed singing in a men's quartet and playing the saxophone. He is survived by his wife, Anne Sonnenfeld, of Lodi; daughters, Susan McCleary, of Lodi, and Lori Sonnenfeld, of Sacramento; brothers, Ronnie Sonnenfeld, of Henderson, Nev., and Delbert Sonnenfeld, of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Bernice Hoff, of Aberdeen, S.D.; and one grandson. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi.
