Mattie Martin
Mattie Lou Martin, 69, of Lodi, died Dec. 18 in a local hospital. She was born 
Feb. 12, 1935, in Texarkana, Ark.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Assembly Church of God 
in Lodi. She had also previously attended Harvest Worship Church in Lodi. She 
enjoyed sewing, gardening and bible studies.

She is survived by her sons, Floyd Martin, of Woodbridge, Jeff Martin, of Lodi, 
and Matt Martin, of Stockton; daughters, Susie Turner, of Woodbridge, Junie 
Bullington, of Westmorland, Tenn., Janice Deslippe, of Walnut Creek, and Patty 
Pigg, of Lodi; brother, Charles Dearmore, of Riverbank; sister, Lavern 
Driskell, of Hanford; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Eugene Martin 1969; son, Allen 
Martin in 1959; and daughters, Debbie Martin in 1959, and Marcia Martin in 2003.

A church service will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Westside Assembly Church. 
Interment will follow at Galt District Cemetery. Visitation will be held just 
before the service today at the church.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
