Betty I. Elrod
Oct. 6, 1924 — April 16, 2004

Services will be Thursday for former Tracy resident Betty I. Elrod, 79, who 
died Friday at Bethel Retirement Center in Modesto.
Born in Thorpe, Wis., Mrs. Elrod lived in Tracy and other areas in Northern 
California before moving to Modesto 15 years ago. She was a member of the 
Assemblies of God Church more than 60 years, a pastor’s wife and a homemaker.
Mrs. Elrod is survived by her husband of 60 years, George E. Elrod Sr.; five 
sons, George Elrod Jr. of Phoenix, Mike Elrod of Gresham, Ore., Carl Elrod of 
Roseville, Ron Elrod of Lodi and Tom Elrod of Modesto; two daughters, Sandi 
Gallegos of Roseville and Lynda Conrad of Rocklin; three siblings, Bob Prosser 
of Manteca, Dorothy Bohart of Stockton and Carol Jean Bothwell of Baker, Ore.; 
20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Thursday’s services will begin at 10 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 
2361 Scenic Drive, Modesto. Interment will be private. Lakewood Funeral Home, 
900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Elrod’s name may be made to Assemblies of God 
Foreign Missions, c/o Bethel Assembly of God Church, 2361 Scenic Drive, Modesto 
95354.
