Evelyn Gefes 
Jan. 6, 1923 - Dec. 17, 2004



Evelyn Gefes, 81, of Stockton entered into rest surrounded by her family on 
December 17, 2004. She was born to Francisco and Rita Aguilar on January 6, 
1923 in Yuma, Arizona. Her family moved to Los Angeles shortly thereafter, 
where she grew up and met A.J. "Guido" Gefes. They married in 1941, had their 
first daughter then moved to Stockton in 1947. Another daughter was welcomed 
two years later. Eveyln took great pride in her roles as mother, Nana, great-
grandmother, and homemaker. She was a woman of intelligence, wisdom, strength, 
and quick wit. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Eveyln 
was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years.
She is survived by beloved daughters, Rita Huckins and Priscilla Williams; 
grandsons, Robert Regalia, Jr., Ryan Huckins, Jr., and Adam Huckins; great-
grandchildren, Robert Regalia, III, Ryan Huckins, Jr., and Natalie Regalia. 
Other survivors include dear nephew, Dennis Aguilar of Stockton; cherished 
siblings and numerous dear nieces and nephews, all of Southern California. 
Eveyln also leaves many dear longtime friends including Jean Catanio and Carole 
Arca.
Family and friends are invited to recite the Rosary on Tuesday, December 21, 
2004 at 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 1:30 
p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton. Visitation 
will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from 9:00-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 
December 22, 2004 from 9:00-1:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. 
California St., Stockton. Committal will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
