Betty J. McKim 
Dec. 11, 1919 - Dec. 18, 2004



Betty June McKim, 85 of Stockton, was born in Jerome, Idaho in 1919. Our mother 
passed away in Sacramento on December 18, 2004. Her children, Kathleen El 
Maaroufi, of Washington, D.C. and Michael McKim of Concord, CA were with her at 
the time. She was preceded in death just 3 weeks ago by her husband of 65 
years, James W. McKim of Stockton, CA.
Mom met her future husband and our father in Honolulu, Hawaii, while attending 
the University of Hawaii. They were married in November 1939 in Los Angeles, CA 
and lived in Stockton for the past 54 years. She was a retired employee of the 
District Attorney's Office, Family Support Division.
Mom loved acrostics, gardening, camping, Slim Whitman, celebrity biographies, 
reality T.V. shows, e-mailing, and her loving family dog, Suzi. She touched the 
lives and hearts of many, many people and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Abdallah El Maaroufi and 
Lorraine McKim; grandchildren, Karim and Omar El Maaroufi of Washington, D.C. 
and Christine Bollinger, Boise, Idaho; great-grandson, Rylan Michael Bollinger.
At her request, no services will be held. Max Carroll at Cherokee Memorial 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
