David Rodriguez Cortez 
Jan. 23, 1923 - Dec. 20, 2004



David Rodriguez Cortez, 81, passed away Monday, December 20, 2004 in a 
local hospital. 
Beloved husband of Josefina Flores, Mr. Cortez was the father of Richard 
Cortez, Ernest Cortez, Mary Lopez, Velia Echeveria, Rosalinda Cortez, Edward 
Cortez, Josie Cortez Marcial, Carlos Holguin and SFC Gerardo Holguin, U.S. 
Army. His sister Julia and her husband, Francisco Gonzalez; 33 grandchildren 
and 44 great grandchildren also survive him. Juan Cortez, Candelaria Cortez, 
Concepcion Cortez and Rosa Cortez Tovar precede him in death. 
Recitation of the rosary will be Monday, December 27, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at 
Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street, Stockton, CA. A 
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 10:00 
a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church, 203 E. Washington Street, 
Stockton, CA. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. 
Committal will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Stockton, CA.
