Vega Nov. 19, 1915 — April 19, 2004 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday for longtime Tracy resident Isabel L. Vega, 88, who died Monday at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. Born in Coeneo, Michuacan, Mexico, Mrs. Vega lived in Tracy 56 years. She was a homemaker, and loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed working in her garden, playing bingo and taking trips to Reno, Nev. She will be remembered as someone who enjoyed the simple life. Mrs. Vega is survived by four children, Martha Rodriguez, Hector Vega and Celia Medina, all of Tracy, and Fred Vega of Salt Lake City; two siblings, Paul Cisneroz of Tracy and Theresa Leon of Michuacan, Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Tina Strmiska, Jesse Rodriguez, and Ruben and Greg Medina, all of Tracy, Lisa Scott of Issaquah, Wash., Hector Rodriguez of Pleasanton, Sandra Anderson of El Dorado Hills, and Michael, Jeff, Joshua and Adam Vega, all of Salt Lake City; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanislado Leon, and a grandson, Johnny Medina. Wednesday’s Mass will begin at 1 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave, followed by a gathering at 3:30 at El Castillo Café Mexican Restaurant, 600 N. Central Ave. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S.
