Theola Chapman-Bacchi
Theola Irene Chapman-Bacchi, 89, of Sacramento and formerly of Lodi, died Dec. 
26 in Sacramento. She was born May 25, 1915, in Sonora.

Ms. Chapman-Bacchi was raised in Soulsbyville and then moved to Stockton, where 
she graduated from Stockton High School. She married Ray Bacchi in 1934. She 
was a bridal consultant and owned her own shop in 1957. She was a member of the 
Lodi Garden Club and the Peek A Boo Branch of the Children's Home Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharlene Bacchi-Melhaff, of Elk Grove; sister, 
Lois Hill, of Stockton; one granddaughter, Lori Melhaff-Brett; and two great-
grandchildren.

A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ben Salas Funeral Home. 
Committal will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 
9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
