Rodolfo ‘Rudy’ Serratos
April 25, 1931 — April 15, 2004

Services will be Wednesday for former Tracy resident Rodolfo “Rudy” Serratos, 
72, of Lathrop, who died Thursday at San Joaquin General Hospital in French 
Camp. 
Born in Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico, Mr. Serratos lived in Lathrop two years, 
and previously in Tracy three years and Menlo Park 40 years. He was a retired 
tree surgeon.
Mr. Serratos will be remembered for giving to the poor, for his personality and 
sense of humor, and as a great philosopher and a wonderfully patient man. He 
will be deeply missed by all he touched in his lifetime.
Mr. Serratos is survived by his daughters, Veronica Mariscal, and her husband, 
Manuel, of Stockton, and Marivel Sotelo, and her husband, Ramiro, of Colorado; 
10 grandchildren, Amanda Landeros of Tracy, Jessica Mariscal and Steven 
Landeros, both of Lathrop, Manuel Jr., Marisa and John Mariscal, all of 
Stockton, Marivel Escobido of San Jose, and Gabriela, Brenda and Jesse Sotelo, 
all of Colorado; one great-grandchild, Angel Escobido of San Jose; and three 
siblings, Isabel Rivera and Cristobal Serratos, both of Stockton, and Miguel 
Serratos of Mexico.
Wednesday’s services will begin at 4 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 
N. Union Road, Manteca, where visitation will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. 
today. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Serrato’s name may be made to the charity of 
one’s choice.
